Did ya’ll watch the Golden Globes last night? Tina and Amy were beyond awesome, in my opinion. But then again, can angels do any wrong? Exactly. While I wasn’t exactly surprised that Les Mis kind of swept the awards, it was nice to see Lincoln, Argo and Silver Linings Playbook get accolades. No one movie really “swept” the show though Les Mis did take home 3 trophies. Check out all the winners here. Enough about winning- on to the dresses!
1. Amanda Seyfried takes home the Best Dressed, in my book. From the lace to the how well the dress fits, I was drooling.
2. I may go back and forth on Nicol Kidman’s acting (maybe she doesn’t play in movies that appeal to me?) but she consistently hits it out of the park when it comes to award show fashion. CHECK OUT THOSE STUDS.
3. Okay, I just had to google Katharine McPhee but in my defense, I’ve seen maybe two episodes of American Idol EVER and Shark Night 3D just didn’t seem worth my time. However, this dress is all kinds of sexy! I’m a huge fan of the plunging neckline (aka the only way us small boobie girls have cleavage) and the height of the slit offsets the overt sexiness of the neckline. Classy, not skanky. Good job, McPhee!
Other notables of the night included:
Did anyone else T. Swift’s face when Adele won? Not impressed.
I’m pretty sure I came out of the womb loving Sally Field, not gonna lie. Always sassy, always classy. Anne Hathaway gave much deserved her props during her acceptance speech with regards to type casting.
I’ve been going back on this dress since Lucy Liu presented last night. I love the print of the fabric- the colors are stunning BUT I have always struggled with large prints on clothing. Maybe it’s because I tend to fall on the more petite side thus large prints overwhelm me
Does anyone know if Jennifer Lawrence is in the market for a new BFF? Her “I beat Meryl” sealed the girl crush deal for me. Like, can we just hang out, talk about the Hunger Games and eat ice cream?
Sparkles seemed to be a big trend this year with a little seemingly popping up on everyone. What was most eye catching to me was how in love Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner seemed. QTs.
Oh, Anne. I don’t know that too many women consider two piece ensembles for award season but this Chanel number on Ms. Hathaway in jammin’. Mermaid-esque bottoms also seem to be another big trend this awards season.
HOT DAMN, HALLE!
Adele wearing black, like the color of her soul/heart. JUST KIDDING! This is dress is okay if not a little bo-ring.

Till the Academy Awards!

Nicole & Amanda are my favorites!
Lucy Liu was DEF my favorite! I think she’s such a class act. I will say though that I’m disappointed Lena didn’t glam it up with a piece of jewelry or SOMETHING. She was rockin the frump and couldn’t walk in her shoes (which I’m sure she had to wear so they wouldn’t have to hem the dress).
